First steps into a catio

A catio gives an indoor cat sun, smells and birds without the dangers of roaming. You can start with one mesh kennel.

Day one

Set the kennel just outside the back door with a bed from inside. Sit with your cat the first few times.

Add tunnels

Once the kennel is relaxed territory, zip in a tunnel to a second cube or tent. Small tunnels go with the small line; large with large.

Weather

Shade in summer, no outings in storms, and always supervision.
